Classic Chevy’s, Buick, Mustangs are among the many different cars displayed at the 25th annual Cruise Nite in downtown Kearney.
Even if this is your first year showing you car.
“I’ve never done it before. It’s my first time having a classic. I’ve always wanted a Volkswagen Beetle all my life and I finally got one,” said Mari Rouse from Kearney, Neb.
Or 25th time.
“That’s the first car we had when my wife and I just got married and we just kept it all our lives. It’s on my headstone so it stays with me all my life,” said Doug Parker from Cozad, Neb.
Cruise Nite is for any and every car enthusiast and for some it takes them back to the good ole days.
“It brings back nostalgia for me. It’s was kind of a nice quiet 50s you know everything went pretty smooth,” said Parker.
And spearheading that nostalgia is Betty and Bud Carlson, playing tunes from the 50s.
“People come over and give you a thumbs up, they come over and say it. Some say I want to listen to it all night. It sets the mood and that’s exact word they use. They really love it,” said Carlson. [Visit the NTV website and watch a video about Cruise Nite]
