Cruise Nite packed with people, shiny cool cars

KEARNEY — “We hit it out of the park.”
That’s how Brad Kernick, president of Nebraska Auto Club’s Cruise Nite steering committee, summed up this year’s event.
“I think our steering committee did a good job. They were well-organized, and I think we got the word out to people by distributing flyers to numerous car shows,” Kernick said about the reasons for the success of the 24th-annual Cruise Nite. “We were in some national publications, too.”
Kernick said all of the Cruise Nite events succeeded. The Show and Shine Saturday in downtown Kearney attracted 550 vehicles, about 10 percent more than last year. Even the new events, such as the classic car tour to area nursing homes, met expectations. […read the complete story at the Kearney HUB]
